St Andrew’s Montessori School has gone from strength to strength, since it opened in 1996, and is now a thriving, busy little gem in the heart of Islington. It has always been the main aim for Samantha Rawson (School Principal) to create an environment where children are truly viewed as individuals and with respect, families welcomed into a warm and nurturing environment where we all have a great deal of fun together and learn a huge amount.
Our SENCO has degrees in both Child Psychology and Psychology, and all our staff have an International Montessori Teaching Diploma. Two members of staff are Early Years Professionals.
We have experience of working with children with special educational needs, including autism, diabetes type 1, Epidermolysis Bullosa, dyspraxia and dyslexia.
We use the Montessori materials and curriculum to support all our children to achieve to the best of their capability.
We have a close working relationship with the Special Education Needs team at Islington. We welcome any professionals into the school at any point to help us achieve our goals of educating children.
