The Hall has been recently refurbished and has its own dedicated outside space situated behind the main Church. Miss Andrea Polakova is the Head Teacher at The Marmalade Owl. Miss Andrea has been in teaching for many years and joined the Marmalade Owl in 2020. Prior to joining Miss Andrea was the Head Teacher at Noah’s Ark. The Marmalade Owl is rated Outstanding in all areas by Ofsted.
The Marmalade Owl is situated in an area full of young families, and it is particularly easy to park, for drop off and pick up. The hall is bright and spacious with excellent outside space. The team at the Marmalade Owl are led by Miss Andrea and include several teachers who have been part of the Marmalade Schools for many years, working well together to provide a happy and purposeful feeling within the school. The staff work with the children both collectively and individually to ensure, the work is set for each child independently allowing the child to work at its own pace.
Miss Andrea has been the Head teacher at Marmalade Owl since September 2023. Before working in Marmalade Schools Miss Andrea was the Head Teacher at Noah’s Ark. Miss Andrea is a dedicated head and places great focus on supporting each and everyone of her families. The Marmalade Owl has nine staff and small class sizes to allow time for individual attention, and for therefore children learn rapidly as Ofsted recently pointed out. The Marmalade Owl ensures excellent communication with parents and teachers are available every day to talk if needed. The use of Tapestry is an excellent way for the parents to be involved with the school and for the school to share information. The school is very well resourced with new equipment to ensure the best for all the children. The Marmalade Owl shares the ethos of being an inclusive school with many different religions, ethnicities, families, and abilities at the school. We celebrate many different religious festivals.
Parents are involved with many of the activities and events held at the school to foster a close working relationship with our parents. We encourage parent participation and hold events such as sponsored wheelies, sports day and parent stay and play. We also have an active PTA which helps create a friendly community around the nursery. The Marmalade Owl children have access to specialist teachers in a range of additional activities such as Ballet, French, Tennis, Small Sports, and Music.
