Our SENCO has a Level 3 Diploma in Early Years Workforce, as well as training for New Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinators (Early Years); has also attended different trainings related to the subject such as the role of SENCO, SEND Code of Practise, Children’s Mental Health and Speech and Language.
All of our staff have accessed to training such as SEND Code of Practise, Children’s Mental Health or Speech and Language. They are continuously working on their professional development.
Our SENCO Coordinator has had valuable experience working with children with complex needs, including autism. Collaborating with other agencies has been crucial in providing effective support. 
Our nursery collaborates with I CAN, a children’s communication charity, involves integrating their expertise to support practitioners in addressing speech and communication delays. This partnership entails training sessions, resources and ongoing guidance for practitioners. By incorporating I CAN’s strategies, we aim to create a nurturing environment that caters to the unique needs of children facing speech and communication challenges, ensuring a comprehensive and effective approach to their development.
As we have recently opened, our focus is on establishing meaningful connections with various agencies and professionals. We are actively reaching out to form collaborative partnerships that will enhance the support we can offer to children and parents.
