Whitehouse Nursery is a small children’s nursery located on the borders of Herne Hill and Tulse Hill. They provide childcare services for children aged between 0 and 5 years, as well as holiday care for children up to 8 years old.The nursery occupies the ground floor of a large Victorian detached house on the borders of Herne Hill and West Norwood. We take children aged between 0 and 5 years of age and can also offer holiday care for children up to 8 years old.
We believe that children learn best through self-initiated exploration of their environment which enables each individual to construct their own understanding of the world around them.
The children are encouraged to actively explore their surroundings independently and are motivated by their need to question, think, imagine, create, express and communicate. We see the role of play in learning as a central one. It is a natural point of access to the curriculum for each child at his/her particular developmental stage and level of understanding.
